Hi guys, I really need help here configuring how to upgrade my PC with my limited budget.

My PC spec is:
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-G41M-Combo
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E7500 2.93GHz
RAM: 4Gb
VGA: Radeon HD 4850 512Mb
PSU: 500w

So, I'm planning to change my old VGA to MSI R9 270x. But I'm afraid that my other pc components might not compatible with the R9 270x. What should I do? Do I need upgrade my mobo and processor too?? Can I just upgrade my VGA first, then my processor and mobo some other time?? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

If you want to buy AMD, then the only cpu good enough is the FX-8350.

Yes a 500W psu is more than enough for a low end card like MSI R9 270x.

As for your Mobo, all PCI-E are backwards compatible. So, for example, a PCI-E 3.0 card will work on a MOBO with PCI-E 1.0 slot.

I assume you want to upgrade the VGA card because you want to play games? Well, I am sorry to say this but your whole rig is outdated by several years and no longer fit to play ANY of the latest games.

It'd be best if you bought a Core i5 build.
