[SOLVED] Will my APU see lower temps with a discrete GPU?

I purchased a 3400g system a few months ago. I feel it has been running slightly hot. I'm going to get a rx580 8gb in just a few months. (250% performace to Vega 11) Will my CPU run cooler if the APU portion isn't being used? If so, how much? Would I be able to overlock with stock cooler?

Yes, most likely 5 -10c lower.
