will my asus m5a78l m lx v2 motherboard able to run r9 280x and fx 6300

i need your opinions that for how good or how bad can i get from this pair??i'll play on 1080p monitor.
i won't play with duel gpus..

for $30 more i would use a fx-8320 instead.
for the same price or a bit more its also possible to get a mobo with usb3.0

no use going with a mid-ranged video card if you're going to skimp on the cpu and have it lagging behind (hence why i suggested the upgrade for only $30 more)
