Will my Asus maximus v formula motherboard accept a pair of Asus gtx 980 ti graphics cards?

Will my motherboard work with gtx 980ti in sli? Also is it worth waiting for the next generation of cards instead?

Thanks for the link cin19, makes for a good read about pascal. I know my mobo can run cards in sli, I was just wondering if I would run into any bottlenecks with my current setup. And two gtx 980s aren't exactly cheap, so thinking it might be worth waiting.

If anyone is wondering, Yes it's for 4k, and yes I need all settings on ultra ;-)
