Question Will my ATX mobo fit in my MATX case?

Hello,
I have a Thermaltake versa H18 mATX and an Msi P67a-GD53 B3 ATX motherboard and was wondering if there was any way i could safely make this work. The motherboard clearly wont fit standing up vertically, but I can run the cables through the I/O shield and let it sit horizontally.. lol, is this safe?

Could it be done safely, possibly but the board needs to be suspended away from the case tray.
Any contact between bare circuit traces & solder joints on the rear of the board with the case motherboard tray will kill it instantly.


Realistically it's not worth the hassle or risk at all when you can get a cheap full atx case for around $30

Well, this is realistically my only option. I don't have $30.. and am trading my old motherboard for this one, and I need my pc for work as soon as possible. Also note, the latest I can get this system working is Thursday.. so I guess I'll risk it.
