Will my build do OK?

Hi, i'm new to building computers, and this is my first build ever. I'm wondering if theres anything wrong with my build (wether the motherboard is good enough for the rest of the build etc.).
Build:
Gigabyte GTX 970
Intel Core i5 4590
Gigabyte B85M motherboard
8GB DDR3 RAM 1333Mhz.

The motherboard is a bit low end. You really want an H97 board.

Get 1600mhz RAM.

Could you tell me the difference between this and a better motherboard, and 1333 and 1600mhz ram?

That PSU is not good quality. Change it. Antec, XFX, Seasonic, EVGA (G2,B2)

The difference is that a better board (h97) will have more SATA ports. Run faster RAM, have better power phasing for the CPU stability, and have good VRM heatsisnks so it doesn't overheat when the CPU is at load.

1600mhz RAM is faster for no extra cost. It is a no brainer to get it. The difference is not much at all, but for the same money there is no reason not to get 1600mhz.

That board is for CPU overclocking. You want an H97 board not Z97.

Many Z boards support SLI/CF and no other boards do, but for your application, no there is no difference besides Z boards costing more.
