Will my case take a regular size psu ?

So my psu went kaput few days ago, and I'm looking for a new one. Since it is a small form factor case, I was wondering whether a regular psu would fit.

Probably not, you'll need a SFF PSU but you'll want to measure the unit you pulled out and then find a unit that will fit.

However be careful which one you pick. Dell has a way of making their PSUs fit a certain way. I used to replace them and some will work and some wont.

Look for a delta fps tfx model.

You may have to do second hand,but its going to be 10x better than the acbel or generic tat that's floating around in tfx format.

I know it's not recommended but all tfx units I've seen are crap and don't give me any confidence

^ it's an option but a fairly untidy looking one really.

I agree though generally tfx psu's are godawful quality.

Apart from a couple,of,delta made units & the seasonics ((which are expensive) they are all,pretty much generic low quality rubbish.

Yup, seasonics are stupid expensive and deltas are unavailable on Amazon.in
So I might stick it outside

Your only other real option is to try and transplant the innards into a standard case; however DELL do have a habit of using rivets in their USFF and SFF cases, where everyone would use a screw; so you might need to drill out a few fixings to get the gizzards out.
