Hey, i have a computer that still works decent with games but i feel i want to upgrade it a little bit, i came to the conclusion that i need a new processor. I am interested in an Intel i5 quad processor but it will not fit my current motherboard. I have an Asus p5k Premium motherboard.
So i was wondering if my components to p5k will fit a motherboard that has the right socket for an i5, if not, what else has to be exchanged? and also, suggestions on motherboards?

Yes you will have to get new RAM, as far as other components HDD will be fine just plugging into the new SATA ports. Same with optical drives.

im trying to move over basically everything onto a new motherboard, and that is my question, will it fit? Because i dont think it will. I do believe i will have to buy atleast a DDR3
