Will my CPU bottleneck the GPU?

Greetings!
So, I'm about to build my own gaming rig and I need some help. First of all, i'm on a "budget"...if I can say so. I'm going to play games on 1080p only,, and I'm specifically looking forward to playing Battlefield 4 (as I pre-ordered it).
I was thinking to get an AMD FX-6300 and a GTX 770, but I'm concerned if going with such a CPU would bottleneck my GPU.
Another option is to go with a PowerColor HD7970 OC (which is cheaper than the 770 in my country), and go with a FX-6350.
I can cut down on the price of the GPU more, but I'd like to get ~60 fps on games like Battlefield 4...
Thank you in advance!
Best regards,
Petkov :)

Solution
Keep in mind that CM Hyper 212 EVO would not do much high overclocks, and also the 7970 is less powerful than the 770.

My advice would be to go for the FX 6300 + 770 / 7970 Ghz Edition (whatever is cheaper) and then get a good CPU cooler when you have enough money. Something like a Noctua NH-D14 or Phanteks TC14PE or any good water cooler which would really push the CPU to its limits.

Hence go for the 6300 + 7970 Ghz Edition now and get a good CPU Cooler later when you have the money. That way you would have the best performance.

I hope this helps.

No, that CPU is fine. Significant CPU bottlenecking only really occurs with very slow CPUs and yours is not in that category.

I would never have paired a 6300 with a 770. Better go for the 7970 with 8320. It would make a very good pair.

Then overclock the 8320 to remove the slight bottleneck that would be left.

Pairing a 6300 with a 770 does not make sense to me. 8320 + 7970 Ghz Edition is the best option in my opinion.

If I get the FX 8320, I'd have to get the GTX 670 JetStream, in the best case... And I'm not sure if I'd be able to run most future (next-gen) games on 1080p smoothly....

Well.. if that is the case then go for the FX 6300 + 770 . It would offer better gaming performance than the 8320 + 670 combination. So, get the FX 6300 + 770 and overclock the CPU as much as possible to remove all possible bottlenecks.

This is the best thing to go for in my opinion because it would give you the best possible FPS for your money.

So, all in all, whichever I pick - 6300 or 6350 - i'll have to overclock them.
Now I'll consider getting a 6300 w/ a CM Hyper 212 cooling with a 7970 Vapor-x,, hopefully it'll serve me better than a GTX 770.

Thank you, that's very helpful :)
And what if I can't OC ? What build would you recommend that i'd still get 60fps constantly ? For instance, if I get a little better CPU, what Video card will do the job ??

Edit: Actually, I calculated that I can go with an Intel i5 3350P, and a cheap mobo (probably no OC), and still end up with a 7970 Vapor-x. Is that the best combo ??

I'm afraid of not being able to max out next-gen games with the 7870.. :\

Yes, even if you don't overclock you can expect at least 40+ FPS on any title with 6300 + 7970 Ghz Edition easily.
If the title is about an year old, like Battlefield 3, then you can get 60+ FPS.

Though I cannot guarentee the same with Crysis 3 and Far Cry 2 since they are very demanding games.

When you would overclock and remove the bottleneck then you can see even more boost.

Yes, that is a very good choice if you can overclock the GPU and push it to the 7970 Ghz Edition frequencies.
Go for the i5 3350p + 7970 and overclock the card above 1Ghz and that would really be awesome.
Also can I know what motherboard you are going for?

I would suggest going with at least a B75 board. They are just few dollars more. I would not suggest to pair i5 with the H61 board.

Also you might need a bios update to make the CPU work with the board and then you would be in trouble. Hence go for the b75 board since it was designed to work with the Ivy Bridge CPUs.
