[SOLVED] Will my CPU cooler for my I3 10100F work for an I7 10700K too? If not what new cooler should I get?

Solution
Yes, you can install it and it will work, up to a point.
A very low point.
To unlock the potential of your new processor, you need good cooling.
That requires a case with good intake airflow as well as a much more capable cooler.
What is the make/model of your case?
I might suggest a noctua NH-D15s

Your case has 160mm headroom and will work with a NH-D15s. Most other good coolers are 160mm.
For safety, give it to a tech to do the job.
It is not so difficult to do, but one needs to be very careful when inserting a new cpu into the motherboard socket. If you smoosh the chip around to get it seated, you will likely damage motherboard pins.

So this says 160mm max height.

A D15S is liable to be pretty expensive, going by the emag link.
https://www.emag.ro/search/coolere_procesor/nh-d15s/c?ref=autosuggest_category1%2Csearch_bar_nh-d15s (500 Lei for the black version and 431 Lei for the normal brown one)
I can't be sure it'll fit either; in a perfect world, it would fit, but...
So I used partpicker to find 159mm and shorter models to be on the safe side.

FUMA 2 - 337 Lei
