Will my CPU Fit?

I've selected a Intel Core i7-4790K Processor- BX80646I74790K
I need to know if this will fit in my motherboard I've picked out which is a
MSI Computer Corp. Motherboard ATX DDR3 1333 LGA 1150 Motherboards Z87-G45 GAMING.
The motherboard says it supports the i7 processors, but I just want to be extra sure.

Short answer? Yup.

Long-ish answer? The CPU goes into an 1150 socket. The motherboard has 'said socket.

Yes, but you will have to update the bios to rev 1.7 or newer. If you havent bough the board yet you would be better off getting a newer Z97 board.

As bignasty said, Z87 boards require a BIOS update. Go with a Z97 board instead, because you can't really update without a previous Haswell-DT processor standing by.
