Will my CPU hold back FPS?

I have a Intel E5300 @ 3.7ghz and am planning to do some gaming - have a GTX570 superclocked coming tomorrow and am wondering - how bad are my frame rates gonna be with this cpu. I'm assuming they're going to hold the FPS back quite a bit but hopefully not enough to make it unplayable.. any input? Cheers

if the game is CPU intensive at all it will strugle on that system. not to mention it is probably only PCI-e V1.
