I bought the Intel Pentium G3258 Over Clocked at 3.8GHz and i am not looking for memory. On the info page for the cpu it says that it uses Max Two Memory Channels? Dose this mean that i can only use two slots out of the four on my Asrock z97 Motherboard as i wanted to use all four and have a 4*4GB ram setup.

Solution
Your cpu has 2 ram channels and the motherboard has 2 slots per ram channel for a total of 4 slots. So yes you can use all 4 ram slots with 4 sticks of 4GB memory just fine.

Thanks 😀

No, you should be able to run with 4 sticks. It should be that you need a minimum of 2 sticks since you need 2 sticks of ram. The best way to actually solve your problem is to throw in all your sticks and try it! Hope this helps!

It would run just fine with only 1 stick, it would be running in single channel mode, for dual channel you need 2 sticks in the correct slots, with 4 sticks of matched ram installed it will be dual channel on his system..

I guess that is correct! But it is best to run it in dual channel! That's how I mean't to put it... Thanks!

Yup, dual channel will in theory double his memory bandwidth allowing for better system performance..
