I currently have an i7 4790k @ 4 ghz, 8gb 1866 mhz ram, and an msi gtx 750 ti 2 gb video card. I am looking at buying this korean monitor because the price is too good and the reviews are good as well. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA4JH1NB1871
but I want to know if my video card can run that resolution while gaming on high settings, not ultra. My decision is between this monitor and a 4gb gtx 970, I just need help figuring out which one should come first as the other one will have to wait about a month

Solution
No way. You'll be lucky if you can even run games at playable frame rates with the GTX 750 Ti on a 1440p display. Even the GTX 970 will struggle at anything above medium settings. At 1440p, your gfx card has to render twice the number of pixels per frame that it had to at 1080p.

Get the 970 first. You would have to wait a month no matter what if you got the monitor first since the current card is incapable of rendering playable framerates at that resolution.
