As said will memory be damaged if it is used to troubleshoot another motherboard?
It booted fine on both systems mine and my clients pc which had a Asus MB. Also windows memory diagnostic didn't return any error on my pc.
So I guess its okay.

It's best to know beforehand if the motherboard had been in an area prone to lighting strikes or power surges since a damaged slot can take out a rams. You will however be able to drop in ram that isn't working on a client's machine into your known working board to verify if the ram is faulty or not.
