Will my extra Video ports work?

I have a 1070 in my system, my main card for games and that.
I also have a 1050Ti that's just sat in my old system doing nothing.

So, if I put the 1050Ti into my main system would I be able to use the ports for an extra monitor?

I'm only really asking because I already have adapters and a spare monitor and some PSU headroom.

also, last I checked, you can't use the motherboard ports when other monitors are plugging in the GPU so if someone could say if that's changed then that'd be nice too. Z-170P if that's relevant.

Solution
The mobo's video ports are disabled when a GPU is plugged in. However, you can usually change this in the bios to re-enable the mobo's video.

Yes - you can install the second GPU and use the ports for additional monitors.
