Will my g3260 reduce the performance of the 1060?

Hello, I am planning on purchasing a new graphics card,
I'm currently more leading towards purchasing a 1050ti however,
I found out that the 1060 has much greater performance but
I'm not sure if the g3260 will reduce the performance of the 1060.

My current GPU is a AMD Sapphire HD 7770 1GB and my current PSU is Silverstone - Strider Essential 500W 80+ Certified ATX Power Supply that I've been using for 3-4 years I reckon.

edit: I'm also currently only focused on upgrading my GPU atm, but definitely will plan on upgrading my CPU later along the year so suggestions on those would be nice!

that cpu will be enough for most titles. Its not meant to be paired with 1060, maybe 1050 ti, but I'm worried that its still a bit to much for this cpu.
1060 should be fine with 4'th gen i5 or i7 and you can find them quite cheap used.
check if you cannot find 50$ cpu, If you're lucky i5-4460 or better can be used. Then you can fully use 1060 and enjoy this platform for next 2 years.

If you play triple A titles and you're thinking about going through the whole process of purchasing a used processor for upgrading, make the upgrade count. Purchase a used i7 4790 and sell your g3260. An i5 isn't enough processing power for triple A titles anymore, so you're going to quickly find out your i5 upgrade wasn't enough. If you game on a 60hz 1080p panel, get the gtx 1060 6gb and you'll be able to game on the hardware combination for 2-3 years before needing an upgrade.
