I am looking into upgrading my CPU to an AMD FX-8350 @ 4.0 GHz.
My current motherboard is a Gigabyte 2AC8 1.2 with an AMD chipset. Will this board be compatible with this new CPU?
Let me know if I need to provide more info.
That info doesn't bring up anything specific using Google, and the non-conventional naming also leads me to think it isn't a normal retail motherboard.
If indeed your PC is a prebuilt, then the safest options are usually the configurations offered by the manufacturer (if there were variations). Otherwise, you'll be at the mercy of the BIOS they have for the motherboard (and info on those are difficult to find from personal experience). You could check manufacturer forums to see if anyone has upgraded their CPUs for that specific model for more assurance.

Make sure you update the BIOS to v8.10 and you're good to go.
It's worth noting that HP may have attached the bottom mount (under the motherboard) of the CPU fan with adhesive. So that's something to consider if you plan on upgrading your cooling unit for the CPU.
Long Answer:
Gigabyte 2AC8 1.2 is what CPU-Z will display in reference to the Angelica 2 motherboard with an AMD 970 chipset.
The FX-8350 is listed as a potential CPU upgrade on HP's website. The really strange thing about the Angelica 2 motherboard is it can support Bulldozer architecture CPUs like the AMD FX-6200 and it can also support Piledriver architects such as the AMD FX-8350.
