Will my gigabyte g31m-es2c motherboard work with evga geforce gts450 card?

hi i use gigabyte g31m-es2c motherboard with on board Intel graphic card. i want to upgrade to evga geforce gts450 card and i want you to help if it can work well with it.

processor: intel core 2 duo 2.66ghz
memory:2gb ddr2
psu: 200w atx

Now i've decided to buy a geforce gtx 460 instead. Will it be ok?

what does a frigging graphic card mean?

win 7 ultimate sees my geforce 9600gt card as standard vga and i can't install the driver for it. Any time i try to install it, i get message 'the driver did not find a compatible graghics hardware. What could be the problem. Please help me out. Thanks.
