Will My Graphics Card Be Sufficient for 1440P Gaming??

Hello all, I will soon be upgrading from my 1080P monitor to a 1440P monitor. I was wondering if my graphics card will be able to play games on High or Ultra Settings, I have been able to play any game on Ultra in 1080P. My graphics card is a HIS 7950 IceQ X² overclocked to 1128 MHz GPU Clock and Memory Clock of 1446 MHz. Thanks.

Depends what your goal FPS is. You can definitely play your games on 1440p with that card. Whether or not you get a constant 60fps on Max graphics is questionable, but no doubt, it will do well.

It really depends on the game. I have been gaming at 1440p for a couple years now, and I gotta say...it is a whole different level of demanding. That said, you have a good card there. Most games should run on high or ultra settings just fine. However, some newer games may have issues (I just ran through Far Cry 3 with 2 gtx 680's...to get smooth gameplay I had to dial it down just a tick). Your best bet is to check out benchies for your card running at that resolution and see how the games you play hold up on that card.

Killer value. Never used one, but seems like it can't be beat for that price! :) I love how we are finally getting some decently priced higher res monitors.
