Hi there!

Long story short, I am receiving a asus rampage gene 2
Its a fairly outdated motherboard using the now discontinued lga 1136
I need to know if my palit jetstream gtx 960 card will fit on it

I've tried googling and youtubing with no luck and no answer.
I would appreciate all help

(please presume I am unable to acquire any other motherboard, because that presumption would be accurate )
Edit: Also presume that the case is quite big, and can accommodate he micro tax and a normal bigger sized atx

The gtx960 should fit into the MB, because the MB has pcie2.0X16, and the pcie3.0 is backward compatible with pcie2.0. But like countmike said you should make sure the gpu will fit into your case, the card is about 250mm length. Also make sure you have the PSU can handle the gtx960, which requires at least a 400W PSU with 20Amp on +12V rail.

If the MB has problem to recognize the gtx960, you should try to update the BIOS too, because MB needs the newer BIOS to recognize the new hardware.
