Question Will my HP 17-cn2165cl allow me to connect to two external monitors? If so, how?

I have a HP 17-cn2165cl laptop and a docking station. I cannot figure out how to connect two external monitors.

Before I purchased the laptop I spoke with HP support directly to confirm that I would be able to connect this computer to two monitors through a docking station. I have to have it for work and my previous laptop would not support it.

I will be sooo mad if I wasted $1000 on this laptop that can't do what I need! Please help!

yup return the laptop.
you need a usbc with displayport, or thunderbolt

This one absolutely WILL support 2 displays simultaneously as this is what we deploy to our users (all of whom have 2 monitors). But then again we are deploying EliteBooks, not consumer level hardware:

And, The HP support desk can only vouch for HP products, not some generic from who knows where. You also need to ensure that your specific model is listed as compatible. If it isn't then there are no guarantees at all. In this case your current dock most definitely doesn't list your model as compatible.

I was talking to them about the laptop being able to support two external monitors. They said yes, it will. However, I can't figure out a way to get it to work. Hence the reason for my post!
