Hey everyone,

So, I'm stoked for The Witcher 3 but my cpu is worrying me a tiny bit. Things I've looked up shows its performance is fairly on par with the suggested minimum cpu (i5 2500k) in most aspects, but looks sluggish in comparison for single threaded processes. Any input is welcome, to me it looks like it falls between yes/no but I'm sure someone more knowledgeable would come up with something more definitive. My full specs are tagged in my signature.

UPDATE:
I guess the more direct question here is what kind of settings does everyone think I manage with my system, and is the i7 950 going to drag me down to playing on medium-god forbid low settings ha. Thanks to codyha12 and manez for their input so far

Thanks!

If it's overclocked to anywhere near 4 ghz it should play it fine, if it isn't, you should definitely look into overclocking it.

It should be fine even on stock settings but hard to say until you actually get to play the game.

Thanks for the input, I have been looking into overclocking but am a bit hesitant for a few reasons regarding hardware purchases (coolers) which I'm seeking help for in this thread http://. But I totally know what you mean in terms of the difficulty of knowing for sure until I'm in game.
