Will my intel core i3 2120 work with a 3rd generation motherboard?

Well i am new to the PC community and i had a question about my first computer build. Over the months i have been buying computer parts and trying to get everything for my gaming pc.
so far i have a
sapphire 7870 2gb ddr5
8gb gskill ripjaws x
corsair cx600 power supply
5 blue led fans
cooler master 431

for my processor i have also bought a hyper 212 plus
but now i am down to my last part.
at the moment i cant buy a processor due to money but i do have a functioning intel core i3 2120 in my hp computer right now that is also on an lga 1155 socket.
the only part that i am confused about is my motherboard says it supports 3rd generation processors (Intel) and my current i3 is second generation. So my question is will my intel core i3 2120 work with this 3rd generation motherboard?

Well can it handle all my components without experiencing any problems? Also can the overall build run games like battlefield 4 and grand theft auto 5 (if released) on ultra, high? My last question is, are all my parts compatible with this motherboard, is this an ok motherboard to use for about a year before i upgrade?

Yes it can. If there is an issue the issue will be longevity, for how much years can it last or maybe defective product in some cases

Don't overclock on that mobo

I don't understand. U have a 7870 and now u want GTX 570 SLI
And there is not much overclocking gains on the i3 2120 anyway

Also one very very last question. Will my hyper 212 plus, front usb 3.0 ports and most importantly all 5 of my cooling fans work on this mobo? i have 5 blue led 120 mm fand from coolermaster.

The CM hyper 212 plus is a big thing almost spanning the width of the GPU. So if u have a side fan it might be difficult to install. Does your case have support for 5 cooling fans? Which is your case exactly?

I have a cooler master 431 and i know that it holds 5 cooling fans. My question was can my motherboard hold 5? It has only two sys fan imputs on it. I also bought a cooling fan controller from nzxt.

Your mobo can hold only 2. The rest u have to connect to the PSU directly and they will run at full speed or any fan controllers u got. But i have to say u are going advanced on cooling for a mid range rig

i know, but the reason for so much cooling is because the environment that i will be using this computer is going to be hot.
