Will my mobo short out?

i have a standoff under my motherboard. will it short circuit? i have built it begin november and it still works

standoffs are what keeps the motherboard from shorting out. if you placed the motherboard directly on the back of the case without them then it would short

so it will never short? i mean i have one installed under the board where no screw entrance is
