Is this a gaming card?
the 3090's 10-15% jump in frame rates over that of the 3080 for more than double the cost ( cost 2x, and add another $100 just for good measure!), seems rather...dubious, at best.
i have 800W , will my mobo support 3090?
so i would need to upgrade my PSU as well?Yes it will support your motherboard but gpu is power hungry
so i would need to upgrade my PSU as well?
Like person said above we need make and modal of your psu also how long you had itso i would need to upgrade my PSU as well?
the problem that it is locked under a cover in my case with screws, but i know it's brand is thermaltakeWell you'd need to tell us more about it, just "800w" tells us nothing. We need the exact brand and model of this "800w".
Thermaltake have a range of psu from garbage quality to acceptable. You really don’t want to risk a 3090 on a psu of unknown quality. It is important to find out.the problem that it is locked under a cover in my case with screws, but i know it's brand is thermaltake
worried 3090 need some sort of new PCI , everything keep changing rapidly these daysWhy on Earth would your think your motherboard would NOT support a new GPU? Do you honestly think that video card manufacturers would force everyone who wanted their RTX 3090 to build a brand new system?

P.S. Find out what the power requirements for the graphics card you intend to purchase are (required PCI-E power ports). Then check to see if your power supply has those required cables already. If not, replace the power supply. If so, consider replacing the power supply. It's up to you to decide whether or not you want to risk your new, $1500+ graphics card on a questionable power supply.
