Will my monitor (AOC e950Swn) be compatible with a hdmi to vga adapter??

Not unless your monitor supports on of these resolutions which were mentioned int the full product specs on the same page.

Supported Resolutions: 480i/480p/576i/576p/800x600/720i/ 720p/ 1280x1024/1600x1200/1080i/1080p
