Will my monitor run 144hz with HDMI

Hi

Last week I bought the new rtx 2070 but when I installed the card into my system I realised my monitor doesn't Have a display port and my GPU only has display port and HDMI.

I don't know if my monitor (benq xl2411z ) will support 144hz via HDMI or not. IF it does ,are the HDMI cables expensive that I need to run at 144hz?

No, that monitor is limited to 60 Hz over HDMI.

If your monitor is 1080p HDMI 1.4 up to 144Hz, and HDMI 2.0 and 2.1 can support up to 240Hz

This is not correct. Those are only the maximums allowed by each version. Products do not always support the maximum. You cannot tell what a product's capabilities are just by the HDMI version.

Your monitor supports 144Hz only over DVI (dual link).
With DP->DVI adapter you could achieve max 120Hz @1080p.
