Appears to be compatible.

Guiding document is the Motherboard's User Manual:

https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/Z97PRO_GAMER/HelpDesk_Manual/

See Section 11., Page 1-31 (English version) regarding M.2 Socket 3.

Section 2.6.3 should also be read.

(Verify that I did indeed find the correct motherboard User Manual.)

Also the Amazon link includes a "Make sure this fits" link.

The Amazon link is worth a look but I strongly suggest an additional verification or two.

Yeah that's a big concern in two different ways the possibility of not being able to boot from the m.2 is a big concern for sure. And not being able to take advantage of the speed as well seems like a bit of a waste until Im able to upgrade my motherboard. I was looking at this as a alternative for now. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07L3D19MY/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&th=1#customerReviews Thank you again for your time :)
I would preferentially consider the Samsung 860 EVO instead of the QVO.
Or, the Crucial MX500
