I'm in the process of making my first build, but got a sweet deal on some HyperX Fury 16gb.

My question is, does my current motherboard - MedionPC MS-7646, support these?
According to the manual, it supports 8gb with 4 slots. A part of me is hoping that it's because there were only 2gb sticks on the market back then.

Also this being my first build, will it affect my next build or the ram, if I pop thes into my current machine?`

Cheers

Solution
The older mobos support 2Gb memory chips on the sticks of DRAM (low density). The Fury uses 4Gb high density chips, also the Fury operate off of PnP which isn't supported by your mobo

It will support it but check up to what Mhz it supports because for example if it supports up to lets say 1333 it cannot utilize a hyperx fury 1600mhz...

and no it won't affect your next build by any means..

It says my motherboard supports - DDR3 533/ 667/ 800/ 1066/ 1333 SDRAM (240 pins/ 1.5V) and my rams are 1600.

Does that mean it's a no go? Or does it just result in poorer performance?
