Will my new Graphics Card work with my current system?

So, i've bought the ASUS GeForce GTX 1080Ti ROG Strix Gaming since i'm building a new pc.

But! It wont receive the rest of the parts for the next month, so could i, without ruining everything, install the new GPU in my current system until then?

Current system:
Processor: i5 4670K Over-Clocked to (4.0 GHz)
Motherboard: MSI Z87-G45
Graphics Card: EVGA GTX 780
Ram: 32 GB - (2400 MHz)
PSU: RM Series™ RM750 — 750 Watt 80 PLUS

Just not sure if the RM750 even has the right pins for the graphics card...if anyone knows i'd be more than happy!

Yup, the PCIE connectors are standardized on the GPUs side, so as long as you have the 6+2 or 8, you can just move it right over from the 780.

yes you will run it absolutely perfect! the rm750 is a great power supply and will power the beast right up

Very happy to hear! Does i have the right pins though? can't remember if the GPU comes with powercables or if they are stashed in my PSU box some place.. :)

are these two cables the extra 2 pin just the one on the right side?[/b]

if so then everything will be good to go since you have 2x8 pcie pins which is what is required

Good to hear! That can cause problems long-term, after all. Just a bit of compressed air is all you need.

If you look at this picture

You can see how many "pins" there's supposed to be..please note i'm not a power guy at all..but from the picture i sent u i can only see a total of 14 pins and there should be 16, right? or?...

What pins exactly are you counting? The pins are on the power supply, the GPU has the holes and I clearly count 16 of them on the lower right, where the connectors go.

Ehmm, im counting the one on the GPU,

But last but not least, since the 1080ti has 16 holes, would i then be able to take my cable from the GTX 780 and put them directly into the 1080ti?
