Will my old build rig i7 970 3.2ghz bottleneck gtx 1080 or gtx 1070 ???

my rig is 5 yrs old, i have an asus rampage 3 black edition with 12 1600 ram. i'm planning on upgrading my vc... does gtx 1080 or gtx 1070 will be bottleneck with my old specs? thanks in adv

In cpu bound games yes it will.

See this video below, Eve a 980ti with a newer I7-2600k is bottle necked in some games that are cpu bound and not in gpu bound games. The 1070 is around 980ti performance and the 1080 is above that.
