Question Will my old GPUs run on Windows 11?

Hi all, so I have a reasonably sizeable collection of GPUs, most of which have driver support only up to Windows 10. Seeing as I will eventually have to upgrade all my systems to Windows 11, I was wondering if the latest Windows 10 graphics drivers for these cards would work on Windows 11 for games (not new games obviously, I mainly play older games)

I am not 100% certain the cut off for AMD currently, but heard that there either is or is a shortly coming update that anything 580 and older will not have new drivers. Nvidia is at 750ti and up right now, so anything older than that has no updated manufacturer driver.

Windows will most likely utilize the last signed driver available.

No new improvements but will get bug fixes.

If you’re still running an AMD graphics card that predates the Radeon RX 5000 series, you’re not going to get any more performance-boosting driver updated from the manufacturer. The company says that while it will still provide “critical” security and bug fix updates to Polaris and Vega series cards, it won’t be fine-tuning them like newer GPU products.

Anandtech published a statement quoting AMD directly, saying that while these products haven’t quite reached “legacy” status (no support at all), there’s very little practical reason to continue with the standard month-to-month upgrades to optimize performance in games new and old.
