Will my Overclocked AMD FX-8320 bottleneck GTX 1070?

Solution
Dude, seriously. Go do research on Intel vs. AMD. I'm an AMD fanboy and even I know when to quit, and it's been time to quit for the last few years.

I would also take into account that Zen is dropping Q4 this year, so don't forget that as well. Intel might not be the go-to route for much longer, but that entirely depends on if Zen flops or not. But yes, wait and see would definitely be the way to go. If you're up for the 1070 pricing, do it. It'll be a great GPU.
Oh please don't go to a 9590, it's a waste of money.

It depends on what games you're playing and what your overclock is. I wouldn't recommend any AMD cpu with a Pascal GPU due to the massive difference in quality there. I'd recommend an i5 or better for a Pascal GPU, but that doesn't mean that your CPU wouldn't be bad for it.

no , a 9590 will heat up , but if you own decent cooling solution then you can cool it down to reasonable temperatures , with intel, cooling won't help , source is my own experience , i've owned 2 i7's and two i5's from each generation ..

9590 offers you 4.7 ! Ghz on 8 cores , however simplistic the architecture might be and whatever the year of production 2013 , still a 9590 with liquid cooling is better , with intel it's like you're using a tablet processor and all else is left to your AMD graphics card , so unless you wanna waste your money , AMD gives you a gaming cpu , that is unless you're into that "video editing " stuff and "online streaming "

Intel out performs AMD on literally every front, including thermals. Again, source please. They have better performing CPUs with lower TDPs which == less generated heat.

Oh, and your 4.7GHz octa core? That gets outdone by a ~3.5GHz hexa core on Intel's side.

The fact that you NEED an $80+ aftermarket to cool a 9590 is atrocious. You need maybe a $30 Cryorig H7 or Hyper 212 for an Intel chip. That's ridiculous.

Also: fun fact, "More cores" does not = better gaming. It = something that AMD can market and attempt to fool people like you. Not many games are that well threaded yet.

whatever mate , i don't get paid by aMD to market for their cpu's AMD's website is even blocked by US in my country , however i try to reason with computer enthusiasts to make them buy AMD , like i said i've had two i7's and two i5's , from each generation , so when the aMD slot AM4 comes out i'm definitely gonna switch , or maybe i wait for the AM4+

you have a two fan liquid radiator cooler , that should be enough but when i get my AM4 i'm gonna buy my 3 fan liquid cooler

There's no reason it wouldn't penguin. That's a fairly good AIO. You'll be all set there.

I'm not saying you're getting paid to market it, I'm saying you're being ignorant in what you're saying. AMD gets beaten in LITERALLY every section by Intel aside from number of cores. Check my sig. Full AMD machine from 4 1/2 years ago. I love my chip, and I'll definitely be interested in Zen once it launches, but for the moment there is no reason to upgrade to an AMD CPU, especially not a 9590, when you can probably get an overclock on an 8xxx CPU close to the levels of a stock 9590. Without having to pay the extra $200 for the space heater. There is no reason to go AMD in the CPU market right now, as much as that pains me to say. I've never had a bad experience with them but this is what they get for 4 1/2 years of stagnation.

Edit: And I wouldn't get a 360/420 AIO just for a CPU, that's a bit overkill. If you want it to expand to a full loop but that's a bit overkill for a single component.

Ummmm.... I'm still not sure... AMD or Intel... I've never had a Intel cpu and AMD cpus have been working for me. My motherboard isn't intel though and and don't want to continue dropping money in the drain. But I'm leaning more towards intel's side.

Then don't, like I said your CPU will be just fine, especially because it's on Piledriver. It's not a great CPU, but it's not bad either, especially overclocked. I would wait until you hit the "Oh my god, I'm hitting 20 FPS in this very CPU heavy section of *insert game title here*" to upgrade. If it ain't broke, don't fix it for the moment. That being said, if you're eventually going to upgrade your CPU in the future and you'll just keep the 1070 iwth the setup? If you're wiling to put the money up for it, do it. Just don't be surprised if you start to see your CPU bottlenecking some of your less-than-well-threaded games.

I respect your opinion, but I will just wait it out. If I experience bottlenecks (like you said I will in newer titles) then I will eventually get an i5. Thanks for the help though. I appreciate it. :)

Solution
I am running AMD 8320 stock and a 850 W PU from Thermatake...I in noways recognize any problems with the 1070 from Palit. I can play everything on ultra.
I am pretty sure that Intel Processor are quite better but since I decide 3 years ago to go a bit on the cheapside but with quality I did not regret my decision to invest my money to AMD.

I decide to go on an update GPU wise and went up from the 770 to the 1070 and the boost is mindblowing. If I ever realize that my CPU wents bottleneck than I have already a list of hardware that I will purchase. And that list does not include an AMD anymore. I will go with the i7 6700K

So far so good. I am sure that your CPU will be able to handle the 1070.

Cheers
Kon

I can confirm it bottlenecks. Got my Gtx 1070 yesterday and still has same fps on arma 3 as it did with a Gtx 650

No I didn't think it would help. I'm just gonna get an Intel i5 with new motherboard and cooler. Was pretty sad it didn't work
