Hello everyone,

I am planning to build a new PC for gaming and I would like to see if the parts will work with eachother.

The Build:

  • Case: Fractal Design Pop Air RGB TG
  • AIO: Deepcool Ls520 SE
  • Motherboard: MSI B760 Gaming Plus WIFI
  • PSU: Corsair RM650
  • RAM: Kingston Fury Beast DDR5 4800MHz CL38
  • CPU: Intel Core i5-13400F
  • GPU: RTX 4060 Ti
  • SSD: Random SSD from HP Victus 15L Prebuilt

Solution
I mean, I fully see the appeal for some users of running an AIO because of the aesthetic appeal. It definitely results in a much cleaner interior space, but the fact is like Bill said, the cooling is really not much better than you can get with a good air cooler and I can tell you for certain that the addition of fans that aren't buried inside the case but are right damn there in the front or top of the case, in what is basically a big hole, is much louder. Plus, even at low fan speeds the pump noise which does not exist on an air cooler is very much noticeable even with newer designs.

But it's your system, you can do whatever you want.

I'll tell you straight up that if you're going to use a DDR5 module that's only 4800MT/s with a...

They stated that they already have the CPU, graphics card and storage devices.

I would bet you could run that cpu with the included cooler. Then again you can get very powerful air coolers for not a lot of money.

If you read some of the recent benchmarks they have manged to get air coolers that have 2 120 fans to perform about the same as a water cooler with 2 120 fans. Technically air coolers are also a form of water cooling it is just using water vapor in heat pipes rather than liquid.

Unless you really want water cooler I would avoid it you are just asking for problems. It might be different if you were running a 13900k and letting it run with no power limits. That you almost have to water cool.

I'll tell you straight up that if you're going to use a DDR5 module that's only 4800MT/s with a CL38 latency, you might just as well save the money and get a DDR4 board and the cheaper memory, because you can get something like a 3600MT/s CL16 kit that will give you MUCH faster memory operations than that 4800/CL38 kit which will have about a 15nS true latency while a DDR4 3600MT/s CL16 kit will have about an 8.8nS true latency, which is faster for anything memory intensive. So either MUCH faster DDR5, or a kit with a much lower CL latency, or just save money and go with a DDR4 kit and board. Otherwise, you're shooting yourself in the foot. At that kind of latency it's not even worth doing just to already be on DDR5 for future upgrade reasons because it would still be slow as hell.

I included the same case you selected, but you might want to give serious consideration to the Phanteks Eclipse G300A (3 fan) model, because while it's somewhat similar to the Pop Air RGB, I think it looks BETTER, and it's actually about kr293 cheaper, but both are certainly viable options.

So, four options here. DDR4 with air, DDR4 with AIO, DDR5 with air, DDR5 with AIO. And of course, you can do whatever you like with the results.

Any of these will give you a very good return for your investment and are entirely decent options for the CPU and graphics card you have already.
