Yes everything will work. However you are using a fair few outdated components and a sketchy ssd.

Yes, the platform is obviously outdated being Skylake which was released years ago. It's also a very low performance CPU. It is however all compatible and might be quite an upgrade from what they have currently, depending on what that is.

Much better option for exactly the same price as the Evga 600-W (not a good psu at all)

A lot depends on location. As in the psu I posted above is the exact same price to me, it could be double for you or unavailable. So what market are we lookin at and what's the budget limit?
Also, are the any exclusions? Things you absolutely have your heart set on not to change?

Yep. Although you might want to add some storage space, such as a 1-2Tb hdd, that 240Gb ssd will get eaten up fast once you start adding stuff to it, figure on @80Gb just for the OS, hibernation, pagefile etc.
