Will my pc be compatible with a rx 480?

I have a medium budget gaming computer with a:
Cpu:4690k
PSU: of 500w
RAM:8Gb (2×4Gb)
The mother board wich im not sure how compatible it can be:ASRock H81M VG4 R2.0
And a zalaman R1 case

should not be a problem at all. reference cards need a 6 pin power connection and custom cards will probably need at least an 8 pin if not more. depending on the psu you have to what pcie connections you have.

post a model and i can check or look for yourself if you don't want to post the model.

that has a single 6+2 pcie connector so it would handle a reference card and probably custom as well. we won't know what the custom cards use for power until they start hitting the market but many will move to an 8 pin more than likely for oc ability. just check before buying.

the ones that go on sale tomorrow should be reference crads that only need a 6 pin so those are safe to grab right away if you wish

that's correct, it only has a single power connection so won't do multiple cards. but it also won't run a card that needs more than 1 power connection. no idea yet if custom cards will need it but it is common for custom cards to use more power than reference ones.

for instance the new 1070 and 1080 use an 8 pin connector. some of the custom cards use 2 x 8pins!! many use a 6 and an 8 pin. so just have to look first to ensure you get one that only needs a single connections. 6 or 8 pin is fine as you have that covered.

I wouldn't trust an Aerocool unit like that. I wouldn't trust my new hardware to it.
