Will my PC be damaged if I connect sata wire like this..?

By using a sata wire connecting from one sata port to another sata port on the same motherboard.

Will there be a short circuit or anything?

Nothing should be damaged by connecting your SATA ports like that, but I dont see the benefit in making that connection.

In my area is humid and very dusty. I was like "maybe I could prevent oxide & dust" as I have spare sata wire anyway.

But then I wonder if my system could go weird in anyway by doing so.
