My PC Specifications:
+CPU- i3 10100,
+MB-Gigabyte H410M S2H,
+RAM- Corsair Vengeance LPX Series 8GB ( 8GB x 1 Kit ),
+SATA SSD- Kingston A400 240GB Internal,
+HDD- WD 1TB
+SMPS/PSU-Cooler Master MWE 550 Bronze V2 230V,
+CABINET (CASE)- Cooler Master K380 (ATX),
+MONITOR- HP 19KA

So, today, the cable connecting (named Longwell) the SMPS and the surge protector started to burn while producing sparks. This happened right after I turned on the switch and I had not booted the system. The mentioned cable is not the original cable given by Cooler Master as the Plug's pins were different. I do not use a UPS.

At present, I have replaced the burnt cable with the original cable provided by Cooler Master, and the system boots fine and works fine till now.

My Questions are:
(A)Is my system safe to use? Should I replace any components if not?
(B)What could be the possible reason for the burning of the cable?

Thank You.
