Hello, I'm debating investing in a 4k monitor, currently using 1080p 144hz, I'm "Benchmarking" my frames by setting HDR (High Dynamic Resolution) at 4x, and certain games' "Render Resolution" and for some it lags, I wanted to know if there'd be any difference in frames if I got the 4k monitor instead of having to upscale to 4k.

CPU: Intel i9 9900k @ 5.6Ghz
CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i
GPU: MSI GTX 1060 6GB
Motherboard: MSI Gaming X Z390
PSU: Corsair 600W
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16GBx2 3000Mhz

So you mean DSR? HDR is High Dynamic Range.

It will perform more or less the same running real 4K vs DSR 4K. A 1060 is not cut out for 4K gaming, unless you're playing non-demanding games.
I did mean DSR, but went to the first thing to pop in mind, I didn't bother to make sure sorry, I know the 1060 isn't cut out for it I was thinking of getting a 2060 or 2070 for the second time (had other rigs)
