PC Specs
Amd fx8350
Gigabyte Overclocked Geforce GTX 660, 2GB GDDR5 (running through a pci-e 2.0)
600W of power
8 GB of ram
Windows 8

Most of your system is good, but I'd be willing to bet that your graphics card will need to be updated to run BF4 on high. The 660 should get you a solid medium though. You may also want to add another 8GB of RAM, but that's probably not necessary if you upgrade the video card.

How about up grading to a Gigabyte (GV-R787OC-2GD) Overclocked HD 7870, 2GB, DDR5,

In the case of upgrading he might as well go for a 7970 or a GTX 770 for BF4..

In the case of upgrading he might has well go for an 7970 or a GTX 770 for BF4..

Yea but with those gpu`s you get into the $400-$500 NZD and a HD 7870 is a Recommened in the bf4 Requirments anyway
