Hey all,

I recently built a gaming PC with 2 hard drives and I was wondering if my Pc will slow down if i fill up the storage space. I heard if you fill your storage the PC starts to slow down alot. Here is the story

I have a 120GB SSD dedicated to windows and then I have an HDD 1TB for my games and everything else. If I filled the HDD will my PC slow down or it doesnt affect it since windows is on a different drive?

Thank you :)

Solution
Once windows is on the Ssd in would be fast. Installing games on the Ssd as well, would help to make the games load faster. As for the hard drive, if you fill it up that's fine. Just leave a little extra space on it and remember once it is full and you are accessing files on it, it may take a few seconds longer.
If you fill it up, at least once a month run defrag the hard drive (Not the SSd). This would ensure that it runs efficiently.
Make sure you leave a few gigs of free space on the HDDD in order to have it run at a decent speed.
However, on the SSD it`s recommended to have at all times arounf 25% of the space free in order to benefit of the full speed of the drive,

Thanks all for your help! As for loading my games to the SSD I am debating on buying a 500GB SSD (from samsung) to load any new games i will get like GTA V since it will be a large game and probably have a long loading time. I am on a budget at the moment and i will wait a little while more for maybe the prices will drop
