Hello,
So am planning study aboard and going to leave my pc behind
Just wanted to know if my pc has still powerful enough for next 2 years?
Here are the list
• i5-7400
• Liquid Maelstorm
• 8Gb RAM OC'ed to 3200Mhz
• RX 580 8Gb
• Z270 Ultra Gaming
• 1Tb Barracuda
• 700Watt PSU

Solution
The only doubt that arises is of the CPU. In the next two years, games might start using 6 cores, or they might not, there's no definite way to tell. If they do start using the extra cores, the i5 7400 will struggle to keep up in some games. If they don't use 6 cores, your PC will still be pretty good after 2 years, though you may have to lower a few graphic options to get stable 60 FPS due to the GPU becoming slightly outdated.

Of course, it's the future, so there's no predicting it precisely - we can only take current trends in mind and stretch them into the future.

I7-3770K /gtx970. Over 4 years old. Still strong.

Alot depends on your gaming. If you insist on the latest, soon as released, games that tax a cpu/gpu hard, ultra settings on high Hz monitors etc then No, you'll find that 7400 starting to struggle. If you play mmorpgs or simpler games like cs:go or minecraft or skyrim, that 7400 will last a lot longer.

It's a matter of degree. It's also highly opinionated. Just what do you consider 'strong', it might be slightly different to what someone else considers strong.

If you are leaving it behind anyway, it seems a bit premature to worry about it 2 years ahead of time...

Evaluate whether *YOU* think it feels slow when you return to it (after a fresh install of WIndows rather than applying 2 years of updates), not what someone tells you
