Hey! Im looking to buy the ASUS VG248QE monitor. Ive been told i need to mess with something to get 144hz but i dont know how. Ive been told to use a dvi-d cable and something. Also, what are recromended settings for the monitor for games such as Counter Strike:Global Offensive.
My pc specs are...
i7 4690
Nvidia GTX 760 (i think its the zotac one)
16gb ram
h91m-s2h mobo.
Thanks for your time :)

your video card is a joke to what is required for a 144Hz monitor (144 fps). You would probably get 60fps , so the 144hz monitor will act JUST LIKE a 60 Hz monitor. It's usually hdmi cables that allow the faster speeds, something your video card can't do. You might want to rethink this.

Don't listen to this guy. Your Video card is not a joke, it is actually a decent card. For CSGO you will easily get 144fps +
Most people on CSGO usually use the lowest settings possible to have the most fps. For games like Witcher 3, Battlefield 4, and other intensive games that you would be playing at Ultra settings, your monitor won't be relevant. But for games like CSGO where the fps goes insanely high, it will be. You can choose for yourself if the monitor is worth it. CSGO will benefit from the high refresh rate, but many other games will not.
