So I'm planning to get a 4k tv with hdmi 2.0 and connect it to my pc. Problem is I'm not sure if my pc can transmit 4k or not

My gpu is gigabyte gtx 650 2gb
My main usage on my 4k tv is just to watch movies,no gaming.

Update: I only have one normal size hdmi port on my gtx 650

Yes you can get 4K but with a GTX 650 there is no point for gaming - all of your games will be unplayable. Also 24Hz is rubbish for gaming you need at least 60Hz to game.

If you truely want to do 4K gaming you need to do an SLI with 2 980's to get the best performance. I would recommend sticking with 1080p but getting a 144Hz 1ms monitor, this will be much better than a 4K TV for gaming. 144Hz means you can see 144 fps, whereas 24Hz on your TV means you can only see 24 fps (less than a console like the Xbox 360!).

No. My setup isnt meant for gaming, but solely watching movies only. I have no idea how many hertz is recommended for movies though. @o@
