Will my power supply work with my GPU

So I have a Ultra LS 600W power supply, no pci-e wires come out of (I know its odd). So I decided to get 2 molex to 6 pci-e adapters for my previous graphics card which was a MSI 970. I went to my local computer store to see if they have molex to 8 pin pci-e but they sadly did not. So they gave me an alternative which was an adapter from the 6pin pci-e to an 8 pin pci-e. The EVGA 1070 FTW takes 2 8pin pci-e.

Do you guys think that my power supply will be able to give it constant power to the GPU or will all these adapters limit it and reboot/blue screen me in the future?

Additional info: The EVGA 1070 FTW's recommended power supply on the box says its 500W.

Can you send me a few power supplies that are 600-700W that you would recommend that are available in Canada?

Also I've only been using this PSU for 4 years, I bought it brand new back in 2012. Last question, if I was to plug my GPU into this power supply, would it just shut down the system if it couldn't handle it or is there any chance that it would mess up /fry the GPU?

Additional info: It would be nice if it had atleast 2 8 pin PCI-E's coming from it so I could return my adapters and the price for those could go towards the new PSU. Thank you!
