So with tax season around the corner I am looking into upgrading my PC. I am just wondering if my current power supply is up to the challenge or if I should get a new one with my upgrade.
Current Power Supply: EVGA 500w 80+ (100-W1-0500)
The upgrades I am looking at are:
EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 ACX 3.0
GIGABYTE G1 Gaming GA-Z170X-Gaming 7
Intel Core i7-6700K
G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB)
I am planning on keeping my hard drives and ssd the same. which are:
Samsung EVO 120gb SSD
2 WD Blue 1TB HDD.
OH and my Elgato HD60 PRO.
and My case is a Raidmax Viper GX II.
So with these upgrades. Will my power supply work just fine until I can get another at a later point in time. Or should I upgrade that as well.
I was looking into the EVGA SuperNOVA 850 as a possible replacement.
Any help would be awesome!
