Recently decided to buy the MSI GeForce RTX 3070 GAMING X TRIO 8GB Video Card but I see that it's recommended that I have at least 650W when I currently have the Seasonic G-550 550W 80+ Gold Semi Modular Power Supply. Am I in need of upgrading to a bigger PSU for the addition of the card? I hear things like the 30 series spikes in power so I'm unsure.
Not sure if any of this is needed but I'll provide it in case -

Solution
Should be fine. Power spikes in the 3070 isn't as bad as it is on its bigger brothers. I'll say even with the power spikes you would not consume more than 450W.
