i have this pc build https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/X6n2LD that i built last year and i am wondering if i would be able to add another identical gtx 970 in sli with no issues regarding the power supply. All responses are appreciated.
Corsairs are solid performers, so it shouldn't be an issue.
However, since PSU's are normally the most efficient at around 50% load, I usually spec my system based on that. http://www.corsair.com/en-gb/rmi-series-rm650i-650-watt-80-plus-gold-certified-fully-modular-psu
Look at the efficiency and fan noise charts at the bottom, if noise is of import to you.
The efficiency drop-off is very small on a quality power supply like this one, but I might go one-bigger if I were you.
TLDR; it'll work, but you wouldn't be hurt by getting a 750 or 850 watt model maybe. Remember, higher wattage doesn't mean it'll consume more power. 🙂
Well one piece of GTX like that has a TDP of ~150, your CPU uses ~90, so 2 GPU goes to 300 + 90 that is already 390W consumed, you still have around ~130W to go for the rest of the parts, since it's a 80+ Gold PSU, meaning that 80% of the power is guaranteed. So my guess is that it would work.

Ok, thanks for your input ive seen other people with similar setups being able to run so i should be good 😀
