[SOLVED] Will my PSU be enough? MS Industrial 550W

Have a question I need help with... I have a 550W MS Industrial PSU and I upgraded to an RX 570 4GB (Asus ROG Strix) yesterday, can I power it without it exploding? (I plan on powering it with a molex to 8 pin adapter)
Here's the rest of the hardware:
I5-2500k @4.2Ghz
10GB of RAM (4 sticks)
300GB HDD SATA 7.2k RPM

If the PSU does not have the required connections, you need a new PSU.

It’s barely a 400w psu by its own specification. The 550 sticker on the side is meaningless. This doesn’t take into account it’s probably very low quality too.

A 550W psu would work, just not your PSU cuz its bad, its recommended u get a better psu

The 12V rail in a PSU is used by the most demanding components: the graphics card and the CPU.

Your PSU has only 16 amps on the 12V rail. That's 16A * 12V = 192W. That's barely enough to power anything. Most of the power in that PSU is in the 3.3V and 5V rails which are unusable by graphics cards and CPUs. Those rails are for drives and such.

Also, this is a very very low quality PSU - using any adapter to power hardware with reasonable power draw is a recipe for disaster.

The Corsair CX550M I linked above actually has all 550W on the 12V rail and 100W extra on the 3.3V and 5V rails. That's how you know that it's a good PSU - or you look at this tier list: https://forums.tomshardware.com/threads/psu-tier-list-psucultists.3624094/ . I recommend anything Tier B and above.

What about there, price is around $40-$50, since I'm in Croatia I'm a bit short of cash...
Kolink KL-C500, 80+ Bronze (600W)
LC POWER LC5550 Silent series, 80+ Bronze (550W)
Silverstone Strider Essential, 80+ (500W)

IMO, if i needed a psu, i would get one atleast on 80+ bronze,

you could also get a higher watt psu for future upgrades on ur pc such as gpu ect

Look at the tier list I sent above and pick a PSU from Tier B or above.

80 plus is an efficiency rating not a quality rating. Just because a psu has an 80 plus rating doesn't mean it isn't junk quality wise.

It has 2 12v rails but it’s still garbage
